It decides which three photographs the lens asks for and how it reads them. A mushroom is not a small plant: nothing about reading one carries over, and the photograph that settles it is one no plant was ever asked for.
Do not eat anything on this app’s word
This is a machine guessing from photographs, and it is confidently wrong often enough that eating on its say-so is dangerous. The score is how sure it is about the pictures — never about your safety. Confirm every name yourself, against a field guide and somebody who knows the species, before anything goes near a mouth.
The lens is for naming things and finding them again. It is not a food-safety test, and it never will be.
